About Me

Welcome to Laura Moir
Laura Moir

Laura's yoga journey began in 1999, where practice became a sanctuary and profound source of healing from trauma. Within the studio's nurturing environment, Laura experienced, for the first time, a sense of being truly seen, loved, and accepted.
This transformative experience ignited her passion for yoga as a path to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.Born and raised in Oakland, California Laura discovered her love for movement and expression early in life through jazz, tap, ballet, and musical theater, later channeling that passion into marathon running. Though her path initially led her to a successful 30-year career in event management, the demands of corporate life left her feeling burnt out and unfulfilled. In 2021, Laura took a courageous step to align her life with her passions, becoming a full-time yoga teacher.Since then, Laura has deepened her practice and teaching through extensive education, earning certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Disabilities, and Yoga for the Pelvic Floor. She is also certified in Sound Healing, specializing in crystal bowls, which she incorporates into her classes to enhance the healing experience. Laura's teaching is rooted in love, inclusivity, and a commitment to creating safe, accessible, welcoming spaces for students of all backgrounds and abilities.
Her approach emphasizes yoga as a tool for healing and recovery, drawing from her personal experiences and advanced training to guide others on their unique journeys toward growth and self-discovery. Laura is dedicated to sharing the gift of yoga with all students, helping them connect with their bodies, minds, and spirits in a deeper and more meaningful way.
